Instruction of Publication in the Nursing Scientific Journal
The scientific journal of nursing publishes original research and articles in different scientific fields (Nursing, medicine, and related sciences).
All submitted manuscripts should be published or accepted for publication prior to their submission.
The manuscripts are subjects for evaluation by specialized experts from in and outside the journal.
A written request should be submitted to the editorial in chief which includes the title(s) of the manuscript(s) name(s) of author(s), and their scientific rank(s). if the manuscript(s) are extracted from dissertation or thesis should specified.
The manuscript should be submitted in either Arabic or English Language with abstracts in both languages. Each abstract should not exceed (150-200) word.
The manuscript should be submitted in four typed copies including the original ones on paper size (A4). A margin of (2.5) cm width should be left on both sides of the page. The manuscript should not exceed (10) pages which includes tables and figures.
The manuscript should be printed through the use of Microsoft word program with letter type of simplified Arabic, letter size (12) for the text, tables, figures and references. The letter size for the title is (16), (14) for the author(s)' name(s) and (10) for the abstract and the key words and space between lines one cm.
Name(s) of author(s), scientific rank(s), and place of work and title of manuscript should be written on a separate page in both languages.
Accepted manuscripts for publication should be submitted after modifications as one hard copy and copy on compact disc.
The manuscript should be organized according to the following:
a. An abstract in the other language and in the following style (objectives, methodology, results, and recommendations).
b. An abstract in the manuscript language and in the following style (objectives, methodology, results, and recommendations).
c. Key words (should follow the abstract which include (5-10) heading words, related to the title(s) of the manuscript(s), bold.
d. Introduction.
e. Methodology.
f. Results.
g. Discussion.
h. Recommendations.
i. References.
Numbering of tables and figures should be presented on sequential order and provided with titles on the top and interpretations on the bottom. Each one of them should be referred to with the number in the text. These tables and figures should be printed in separate pages.
References should be presented through the use of the numbering style and according to the priority in the text. Their total number should not exceed (20) ones. They should be listed at the end ass follows:
a. If the reference is a book, the last name(s), the title of the book (bold), edition, place of publication, the name of publisher(s), year of publication, and number of used page(s) should be listed as in the example:
Craven R, and Hirnle C. Fundamentals of Nursing: Human Health and Function. 3rd ed. United States of America, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2000: 122-131.
b. If the reference is a journal article, the last name(s) of author(s), the first letter(s) of their name(s), the title of the article, the title of the journal (bold), volume (issue), the year of the publication, and the number of the used pages should be listed as in the example:
Brakey, M. Myths and Facts About Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Nursing, 2000. 30 (12):26-28.
References in the text should be referred to by numbers between brackets at the top of
the end of each paragraph only (1).
14. The manuscript would not return back to author(s) if they arenot accepted for publication.
